This is an original woodblock print, hand-pulled from an edition of 40. It was inspired by the sea in Southern California.

the process:
After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a hand tool to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the reverse image printed on paper. This print consists of two different blocks that were layered to create the final image.
