Kalmia Flower Woodblock Print, 6 Versions Available

This woodblock print celebrates the kalmia flower, more commonly known as mountain laurel. There are 6 one-of-kind prints available, each with slightly different color harmonies.

A portion of each sale (15%) will be donated to a local organization in New Jersey, The Kalmia Club, which provides annual scholarships and supports local charities.

the process:
This series was created using traditional printmaking processes. After drawing my design, I carve the image into wood. Ink is rolled onto the surface of the block, and the reverse image is transferred to paper. Multiple blocks were layered to create the final picture, resulting in a small series of one of a kind prints.
